To Alsace by bike

Sabine Maurel, her husband and their four boys ages 10, 7, 4 and 2 years took a great family outing! In July 2010, the family set off on a two week trip starting from the Bugey to join Eurovélo6 at Osselle, bringing them to Mulhouse.
"In terms of logistics, the trip was exhausting, but the freedom of cycling, the scenic beauty and the heritage, the people we met, the challenges overcome every day and especially the level of interest for our children made it hugely worthwhile."
What prompted them to take the trip? A holiday where you can be as free as the air, the idea of being able to move from place to place and a desire to have holidays full of exercise have left lasting memories for everyone. "The boys were all amazing. The two little ones in the trailer didn't put up a murmur of protest and two bigger boys did not complain about all the pedalling!"
A fine example of a family trip. Finally, after 500km of cycling, Sabine can't wait to do it all again next year, this time from Basel to Austria!
